The Mission of TCworks.org

Community Works is a compilation of the efforts of universities, communities, students, residents, and many others do to help make their area and world a better place to live and thrive. Educators, schools, and mentor programs use community work to enable students and residents to use their knowledge and skills to give back to the community. This involvement is vital in our tumultuous society that is dealt catastrophic chaos on a regular basis.

While meeting desperate needs within a community, not only do students and volunteers gain the experience of helping and applying learned skills, but also those in need receive the help and resources they need. All who participate and give their time and efforts can provide community service in many different ways and forms. Community service could be done in homeless shelters, rebuilding with organizations such as Habitat For Humanity, roadside trash pick up, visiting retirement homes, help prevent and become an advocate for preventing domestic violence, spending time with orphaned or children who lack adult support, painting buildings and homes, donating books, and dozens of other volunteer opportunities.

With such a wide and desperate need in all areas and lives, the volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved are endless. This can be overwhelming to those who want to help but just do not know where to begin or how to maximize their efforts. Resources, such as TCworks.org can help you focus efforts to where there is the most need and where you can be most efficient with your skills and knowledge.

TCworks.org is a website where individuals can search to find what the residents in their area need the most. The mission of TCworks is to inform those who have the desire and are willing to help with the community service opportunities in their place of residence.
