HealthWorks Program Director

The HealthWorks program director will report to the TCW Board of Directors and set the direction of the program. The mission of the program is to work with the LGBT communities in the Research Triangle area to find primary health care providers willing to be identified as a welcoming practice to LGBT folks.

The director will be responsible for assembling a team to contact health care providers to ask if they would agree to be listed in the Helpline's referral database as "LGBT-friendly," ask a series of short questions of the provider about the percentage of clients who are LGBT, resources available to them that are LGBT related, and if they would like additional information or training for themselves or their staff. If the provider agrees to be a referral, they will be put into the referral database.

The director will also be responsible for reporting the progress of the program to the TCW Board.
