April 5, 2008

NBC News calls Jade “America's Prince of Pride”. He's been seen on THE GRAHAM NORTON EFFECT (Comedy Central) IN THE LIFE (PBS), FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, 30 ROCK (NBC) and toured North America with his highly acclaimed one-man shows.

As a singer, Genre Magazine calls him “the most exciting Latin pop artist ever to emerge onto the music scene”. He has performed in seven languages and in 33 countries to date and his hypnotic music can be heard on the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning police drama THE SHIELD on FX. The New York Times raved that his infectious comedy was “hilarious” and The Advocate calls him “exquisite.”

In the ICONS trilogy, Jade Esteban Estrada portrays a number of characters. This show, Volume 1, will include Sappho, Michelangelo, Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein, Sylvia Rivera, and Ellen Degeneres. This eye-opening series has received praise and accolades in major cities across the U.S. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch,

“Long before Estrada wraps himself with a rainbow-colored flag at the show's end, he's proven that he’s a master entertainer with a message to convey.”

Jade is no stranger to the Triangle area, having entertained and emceed La Fiesta del Pueblo for several years. We are delighted to welcome him back to showcase his talents for the benefit of the programs of Triangle Community Works. To learn more about Jade, please visit his website
